Abstract

This study examined the analysis of the Implications of Changing Lifestyles for Firms in the Hospitality, Entertainment and Leisure Industries: A Case Study of Tinapa Resort, Channel View Hotels, and Paradise City Entertainment Hub. The objectives of this study was to examine the impact  of changing lifestyles on the demand for hospitality firm in Calabar, Nigeria. To analyze the implications of changing lifestyles for  hospitality firm in Calabar, including changes in consumer behavior and market trends. To identify strategies for hospitality firm to adapt to changing lifestyles and remain competitive in the market. For the methodology, the study adopted a descriptive research design which was  selected to facilitate the collection of quantifiable data. This study was carried out in Calabar, Cross River State. Three (3) businesses were  selected in the study area namely; Tinapa Resort, Channel View Hotels, and Paradise City Entertainment Hub. The population for this study  comprised 195 staff at Tinapa Resort (93), Channel View Hostels (50), and Paradise City Entertainment Hub (52). The findings of this study underscore the significant influence of changing lifestyles on the demand for hospitality, entertainment, and leisure services in Calabar,  Nigeria. The descriptive statistics indicate that participants largely perceive changing lifestyles as a key driver of shifts in consumer preferences, particularly in terms of increasing demand for experiential and immersive services. This study highlights the significant  impact of changing consumer lifestyle. The study  recommended that the government should develop and implement policies that support the  growth and sustainability of the HEL industries.
